And the winners are ….

Online Safety Competition VeeMakinOnce again a fantastic response from Bolton schools.
Thank you to all schools that supported this years Online Safety competition.

There were posters, collages, Power points, board games, coding games, raps and songs, stop motion videos, models and even an edible e-safety cookie!

Here are some of the highlights.

What did you do for Safer Internet Day 2016 ?

This year I was asked to go to a school and deliver a school assembly and then work with upper KS2 children.

We decided that we would work in the hall, no chairs or tables just flip chart paper and felt tip markers what more could we have asked for!

The first task was to look at all the different websites the pupils visited. We then collated data on the most popular sites and discussed implications of sharing images, why site have recommended age restrictions; this data is going to be used in maths lessons during the week.

Here are my morning highlights …

What were yours? it would be great to see what Bolton got up to for #SID16

Here’s our 2nd Esafety Competition winners – Eagley Juniors

Earlier this year BoltonSICT ran an Esafety competition for all Bolton Primary Schools.

With the changes to the curriculum and the raised importance of children learning how to stay safe on-line. We felt that by encouraging schools to get involved with Safer Internet Day or SID2015  this was an ideal opportunity to raise the awareness and importance of safeguarding and on-line learning.

Our overall winners were Gaskell Primary & Eagley Juniors – part of their prize was a trip to our training centre for a fun packed day of Computer Science.

Here are the highlights of Eagley Juniors‘ trip.
